1 - 12 Days
Day 2 Cairo: (B,L) A full day of sightseeing in Cairo - Pyramids/Sphinx/Valley Temple. Perfumery and Papyrus Institute
Optional Evening Sound & Light show at Giza $45 US Per Person
Day 3 Cairo: (B,L) After breakfast, visit the Egyptian Museum then onto the Citadel/Mosque/Khan El Khalili Bazaar/Coptic Churches
Day 4 Cairo - Sharm El Sheikh: (B) After breakfast we will travel to Sharm El Sheikh by air-conditioned vehicle, on arrival the rest of day is free at leisure. (Optional Flight upgrade $245 US)
Day 5/9 Sharm El Sheikh: (B) Free at leisure in Sharm - water sport options. One evening take a trip to St. Catherine's (around 3 hours each way) Climb Mt Sinai and Visit the Monastery before returning early am to Sharm.
St. Catherines is Closed on fridays and Sundays plus the Religiuos Holidays like Xmas and so on.
How difficult is it the climb at St Catharines?
"It takes about 3-4 hours to climb the 7,498-foot peak following the Path of Moses, a stairway of nearly 4,000 steps."
What type of physical condition does one have to be in?
You need to be energetic and strong enough to hike in the middle of the night for 3-4 hours or you can Just taste the experience by hiking for an hour and still enjoy the sun set from this point and then walk back. It is always a good idea to bring a Flashlight with you as well. You can rent a camel St. Catherines instead of walking up the mountain. it takes about 4 hours and is $45 US per person
Day 10 Sharm - Cairo: (B) After breakfast travel back to Cairo by air-conditioned vehicle (7 hours) (Optional Flight upgrade $245 US)
Day 11 Cairo: (BL) After breakfast a full day tour to the step Pyramid at Sakkara and Memphis open air museum.
